Duck Run — a break, not a rabbit hole
Duck Run is a small browser game for the five minutes after a focus
session. One duck, one jump button, one leaderboard. It needs no
account and no install, it is free, it carries no ads, and it ends when
you close the tab.
How to play
Press space or the up arrow to jump, the down arrow to duck. The duck
runs on its own and speeds up as you go; you are dodging obstacles for
as long as you can last. One tap starts it. That is the whole game.
Why it is earned rather than always open
Signed in, a run is unlocked by finishing a focus session — one
finished session, one run, that day. A break you have earned is a
break; a game that is always open is a distraction with a duck on it.
Signed out, guests play for free without an account, and only signed-in
runs are ranked.
The leaderboard
Best runs by the flock, reset every Saturday, with the top three staying
on the board to be beaten. There are no streaks, no daily quests and no
notifications calling you back.
